Freezing atom method in molecular dynamics simulation CPCI-S SCIE

Abstract :

Molecular dynamics method is the most powerful numerical technology in molecular simulation in the scale of nanometer, but it is time-consumed and hard to be used to multiscale simulation not only because the large number of atoms in a complex molecular system but also the femtosecond order of time step requirement. To enable a larger time step and less time-consuming in molecular simulation, a freezing atom method (FAM) is developed by using of the principle of movement discomposing and composing of particles. It is shown that in case of weak coupling between high- and low-frequency process, the use of FAM enable a time step 10(5) longer than the classic molecular dynamics method and higher accuracy of convergence.

Abstract :

A set of digitized measuring system of arc voltage for high voltage circuit breaker has been set up successfully in an industrial high power laboratory. It functions normally even in the environment of intensive electro-magnetic interference. It can get the waveform of arc voltage accurately during the arcing period, and withstand the transient recovery voltage during the extinction of arc. When the arc voltage is measured, conductor's voltage across the two measured points shall impose on the arc voltage. Through high precise compensation of computer software, the influence of conductor's voltage on the arc voltage is limited to the minimum gaining the desired arc voltage as far as possible. Therefore the accurate arc voltage can be obtained through the measuring system.

Abstract :

Switchgear is one of the key equipments of electrical power system. Its operation condition is very important for system reliability. Mechanical failure (open rejecting, close rejecting, and mechanical malfunction), insulation failure, and contacts overheating are in the majority of all operation failures. In this paper, an on-line condition monitoring system for 12kV switchgear is developed. In this system, the insulation condition of bushings, the temperature rise of the detachable contacts and the mechanical performance are detected on-line. For mechanical performance, the contact travel and the current of close and open release coils are detected. Thus the average speed and instant speed can be got from contact travel. A prototype of this on-line condition monitoring system has been developed. Experiments indicate that the monitoring system can perform accurate on-line detection of operation condition of switchgear, and it can offer exact forecasting in time.

Abstract :

In this paper, we propose a subspace tracking method for blind signature waveform estimation. In practice, the signature waveform can not change suddenly. So, we can take use of the past information of signal subspace to update the signal subspace gradually for blind signature waveform estimation. After the algorithm proposed in this paper, the computation complexity is reduced substantially.

Abstract :

A novel method, integration of independent component analysis (ICA) and envelope analysis (EA), is proposed to diagnose machine sound sources. Microphones measure the acoustic signals. In ICA implementing, the auto-covariance of signals replaces the mixing signal and the three components are separated. Further ICA is applied the data between strikes of the machine, another component is obtained. EA extracts the sounds of machine from these separated components. Applications indicate that ICA can be used to recover the embedded information and improve the diagnosis.

Abstract :

In this paper, a type of Feeder Terminal Unit that adopts 16 bit fixed-point DSP TMS320F206 as its core is developed. The DSP has good features of low price and high data processing capacity that is 20MIPS(Million Instructions Per Second), which are fully used by the FTU to improve its performance. Some algorithms are adopted in software to realize AC synchronized sampling which greatly simplify the hardware design and enhance the measuring accuracy. This type FTU puts together such functions as protection, control, measure, communication, display, etc. Further more, it supports multi-protocols and can constitute a fully integrated distribution system with various on-pole switches. Compared with other FTU constituted with general microprocessor, this Feeder Terminal Unit based on DSP technology possesses features of lower power consumption, higher real-time processing speed, higher measuring accuracy, smaller volume and higher stability, and its function can be extended more easily.

Abstract :

The antitumor effect of adriamycin nanoparticle-lipiodol emulsion combined with Diethyldithiocarbamate (DDC) was studied. SD rats with carcinoma were divided to six groups and respectively treated by delivering saline, adriamycin, adriamycin. nanoparticle-lipiodol emulsion, adriamycin liposome-lipiodol emulsion, DDC and adriamycin nanoparticle-lipiodol emulsion, DDC and adriamycin Liposome-lipiodol emulsion. The volume of every tumor in rats, tumors growth rate(G%) and life prolong rate PL% in six groups were determined. It was found the value of the IC50 (ug/ml) of adriamycin was reduced from 18.40 to 0.74 for the resistant cells SGC7901/CVR, and from 4.00 to 0.32 for the sensitive cells SGC7901/WT by pretreating the tumor cells with DDC. The tumors growth rate(G%) and life prolong rate PL% in rats increased significantly(P<0.05) in the groups DDC pretreated than adriamycin nanoparticle-lipiodol or adriamycin Liposome-lipiodol emulsion groups. It is conformed the antitumor effect of adriamycin can be enhanced by inhibiting the superoxide dismutase (SOD) in tumor cells with DDC.

Blind source separation with space-time analytical constant modulus algorithm in DS-CDMA systems EI CPCI-S Scopus

Abstract :

The constant modulus property of communication signals, such as FM and phase-modulated signal, are often used in blind separation of multiple users. Because there is no training sequence needed, the system transmission efficiency is increased. However the CMA is suffered from the complex iteration computation and local minimums. The Analytical Constant Modulus Algorithm (ACMA) replaces the problem of finding the weight vector blindly with the equivalent problem of blind source separation in signal subspace. Via joint diagonalization of matrices, each user's signal can be gotten analytically. Expanding the ACMA of space domain beamforming to space-time domain can improve the performance of blind signal separation of the system. The computation complexity of ST-ACMA is only related with the amount of constant modulus sources. Its performance is similar to ST-CMA algorithm, but it has less computation than ST-CMA and the faster convergence rate. Finally, numerical simulations can illustrate the effectiveness of this algorithm.

Abstract :

Based on microscopic traffic models, the object-oriented method and visualization technology are applied to the microscopic simulation of urban traffic systems, and a concise and flexible traffic simulator is developed. For an urban traffic network with 3 by 3 Intersections, simulation results show that the vehicle behaviors In the traffic network accords with human traffic experience, and the movement curves of vehicles reflect the response of drivers to many traffic events. The fixed time signal control scheme is also compared with the fuzzy logic one In the simulation. The proposed approach could be adopted to study general large-scale traffic networks.

Abstract :

A high voltage circuit breaker's mechanism was modeled with mechanical system dynamics simulation software ADAMS (Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical System). Some optimum design results are gotten with the model. The electromagnetic force under short current is analyzed. And the analysis results are introduced into ADAMS. The behavior of the circuit breaker under short current is simulated. Some important conclusions can be drawn from the simulation results.
