Abstract :

Alternative fuels, such as municipal solid waste (MSW) tend to play an increasingly important role in Chinese energy supply. Gasifying fuels derived from MSW have the potential of covering a significant part of the future demand on gasification capacities. However, their pyrolysis behaviour was not clear due to that the reactions during co-pyrolysis of the MSW serval fractions have not yet been fully investigated. In this paper, thermal behavior of pork, polypropylene and their blends were investigated by thermogravimetry under pyrolysis conditions via the non-isothermal thermogravimetric analysis. The pyrolysis and co-pyrolysis kinetics characteristics of the waste samples was investigated at a temperature range of 50 to 1000 degrees C with the heating rate of rate of 10, 20, 40 degrees C.min(-1) and for particle sizes less than 74 pm. The results indicated that pyrolysis rate of pork was hindered by polypropylene. Negative synergistic effects on mixture decomposition was observed. Weight loss of mixture were lower than that calculated from individual samples for pork and polypropylene. The apparent activation energy were obtained through Kissinger and Ozawa methods for the samples. The results indicated that more energy for blends to be decomposed during co-pyrolysis.

Abstract :

Coal-fired boiler is a main exhaust source of greenhouse gas CO2and air pollutants. Therefore, enhancing the research and application of technologies for energy saving and emission reduction of coal-fired boiler is very important to CO2reduction and air quality improvement. Recent technologies and methods for energy saving and emission reduction for coal-fired utility boiler and industrial boiler are analyzed and reviewed respectively. These technologies and methods include promoting strict policy for energy saving and emission reduction, using large capacity supercritical pressure coal-fired power generation unit, using IGCC, developing coal based co-production system and CO2capture technique, reforming industrial boiler, and using advanced cleaning apparatus of boiler exhausted gas. The research and development of the technologies are finally anticipated and suggested. © 2016, Editorial Office of Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University. All right reserved.

Abstract :

The corrosion behaviors of 316 stainless steel (316 SS), Inconel 600, Inconel 625, Hastelloy C-276 and TA10 coupons exposed in supercritical water (400 degrees C/25 MPa) with sodium chloride, sodium triphosphate and hydrogen peroxide were investigated by using SEM, XRD and XPS. 316 SS shows the most severe spallation of oxide scales and Inconel 600 exhibited the most severe pitting corrosion due to a lack of molybdenum in the alloy. TA10 showed the lowest corrosion rate and the slightest corrosion morphology. TA10 had corrosion rates less than 1.8 mmpy in the four experiments and a triplex oxide layer structure formed which consisted of TiO2/Ti2O3/TiO from outer to inner layer. The formation of (TiO)(2)P2O7 was observed on TA10 in oxidizing supercritical water containing phosphate. Phosphate shows significant corrosion inhibition for metal alloys in SCWO due to the formation of a passivating metal phosphate film. An oxide film growth mechanism, metal dissolution mechanism and metal salt precipitation mechanism are discussed in order to explain the corrosion behavior of the specimens in this research. Abstract :

According to the “harmless, reduction and recycling” processing principle, landfill method, incineration and compost method were studied that secondary pollution and resource waste problems were unavoidable. From the perspective of circular economy, Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) separation and integrated utilization technology was proposed. The composition of MSW was investigated. The influence to sorting equipment by the garbage component properties was analyzed. On the basis of the full analysis of relating technology drawbacks, the sorting equipment, such as crush equipment and air classification equipment, were designed. Organic bacterial manure is produced by organic material, which was sorting from MSW. Plastic-wood is produced by mixing plastic and wood powder. Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) is produced by papers and textile. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Abstract :

By using a resistance strain meter and a beam type resistance strain sensor, experimentally studied were the resistance coefficient and fluctuation resistance coefficient of a staggered tube bundle in three tows laterally swept by a gas-liquid two-phase flow. Organic glass cylinders with a diameter of φ30 mm were used as the tubes for testing, the flow pattern of the gas-liquid two-phase flow was of cell shape and the Reynolds number of the two-phase gas flow was within a range from 2.0×104 to 6.0×104 with the void fraction in the section ranging from 0 to 0.30. It has been found from the test that with an increase of the void fraction and the Reynolds number, the fluctuation resistance coefficient of the cylinders will decrease while the resitance coefficient of the staggered cylinders will increase with an increase of the void fraction.

采用电阻应变仪和梁式电阻应变传感器,试验研究了气液两相流横向冲刷三排错列排列管束时的阻力和脉动阻力系数.测试管采用φ30 mm的有机玻璃圆柱;气液两相流的流型为细泡状流;两相隙缝流雷诺数的范围为2.0×104~6.0 ×104;截面含气率的范围在0~0.30.试验发现,随着含气率的增加,圆柱上的的脉动阻力系数减小;随着Re数的增大,脉动阻力系数减小.错列圆柱上的阻力系数随含气率的增加而增加.

毛细管网在闭式冷却塔中的应用分析 CSCD PKU

Abstract :

为解决闭式冷却塔在冬天停机时排水不尽易冻裂和遇腐蚀性工质易损坏的问题,将工程塑料毛细管网技术引入闭式冷却塔。根据理论计算设计了毛细管网闭式冷却塔,并且进行了实物模块的性能实验。研究表明:在单台塔体大小相同的条件下,两台毛细管网闭式冷却塔能够达到一台常规管径紫铜管闭式冷却塔的散热能力,且换热器部分的成本相差无几,由于毛细管网闭式冷却塔具有防腐、抗冻、阻垢、降噪的优势,所以具有良好的技术经济性。

Abstract :

A perforated orifice is promising in measuring flowrates accurately as a differential pressure device. In this study, the discharge coefficient of a perforated orifice, characterizing the relationship between the volumetric flowrate and the pressure drop across the orifice is presented. Different structures are tested experimentally including orifice thickness, porosity, hole distribution and upstream disturbance. For each case, a wide range of flowrate was tested in a horizontal single-phase water pipe with an I.D. of 29 mm. For comparison, the discharge coefficient was also obtained for the corresponding standard orifice with the same porosity and thickness. Meanwhile, the effect on the discharge coefficients of the structural parameters was assessed in terms of pressure drop. The theoretical analysis shows that a perforated orifice yields a weaker distortion to the flow than the corresponding standard orifice, indicating a lower pressure drop and a more stable flow field for the former. The experimental results show that the discharge coefficient of a perforated orifice is 22.5-25.6% larger but with a weaker scattering than that of the corresponding standard orifice. Furthermore, a perforated orifice has a lower critical Reynolds number and a stronger anti-disturbance ability. As a flowmeter, the perforated orifice is comparable to the newly developed differential pressure orifices, e.g. V-cone and slotted orifices, but with a simpler structure. (c) 2012 Elsevier Inc. Study on Venturi nozzle for gas-liquid two-phase flow metering EI Scopus

Experiments were carried out to study gas-liquid two-phase flow through a horizontally mounted Venturi nozzle. The inner diameter of pipe is 25 mm and the throat diameter of Venturi nozzle is 5.1 mm. The pressure difference and pressure loss across the nozzle were measured. It was found that the degree of pressure fluctuation strongly depends on the gas quality. However, the relationship between the standard deviation of pressure difference and the gas quality is not monotonous. Multiple solutions may occur when the relationship was used to determine gas quality. On the other hand, the standard deviation of pressure loss was found to be monotonously correlated to X. This phenomenon was applied to measured gas quality. Also a modified Lin's equation is proposed to calculate the two-phase flow rate. The experimental measurements agree well with the predicted values.

Abstract :

Gas-liquid two-phase distribution is widely used in many industries of nuclear engineering, chemical engineering, and power engineering. Equal phase fraction in different branches is required to improve the economics and safety of the systems. Based on the theoretical analyses on pressure drop of the system, this paper proposes a new method to decrease the deviation in phase fraction among the branches by adjusting the flow pattern into homogeneous. New structures, acceleration tube, rotational drums were tested experimentally in air-water two-phase flows. Different flow patterns were observed to be adjusted to be homogeneous with an acceleration tube. When a rotational drum was applied, flow pattern was perfectly homogeneous. Both extraction coefficients of air and water were stable at 0.07 when superficial water velocity was over 0.1 m/s. Compared with gravity, centrifugal effect is more effective in adjusting flow pattern and keeping equal phase fraction.
