Abstract:

An integrated design optimization method for 3D parameterized turbine vane with non-axisymmetric endwall is proposed, by coupling an adaptive range differential evolution (ARDE) algorithm, 3D parameterization method for both blade profile and non-axisymmetric endwall and RANS solver technique. Using this method, 3D aerodynamic design optimization of a turbine cascade with low aspect ratio is carried out. The effects of 3D blade parameterization and endwall contouring of optimal design on aerodynamic performance are analyzed in detail. Thereby the correctness and effectiveness of proposed design optimization method is demonstrated. © 2016, Science Press. All right reserved.
