Abstract:

A co-simulation method as applied to an air circuit breaker is proposed to evaluate the fatigue life of operating mechanism under repetitive operation. Dynamic stress and strain of uplink in an air circuit breaker calculated by ADAMS and ANSYS are compared and analyzed. The fatigue life of blow rod is evaluated and enhanced significantly through structure optimization. The proposed co-simulation method in this work can be efficiently used in the optimization design of operating mechanisms in air circuit breakers.
