Abstract:
In this paper, it is presented that an improved method for calculating the dynamic behaviour of a vacuum circuit breaker (VCB) with a permanent magnetic actuator (PMA). This method integrates different software including MATLAB, ANSYS and ADAMS to solve the dynamic behaviours of a PMA, which makes the calculations convenient. Moreover it is suitable for analyzing complex models or intelligent controls such as synchronous switching. In addition the analysis results are also performed.
