Abstract:
By investigating the field emission characteristics of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) films fabricated by multi-step screen-printed process, it is found that turn-on electric field could be enhanced by multi-step printing process, especially two-step printing film the best field emission characteristics. Microstructure characterization shows matching structure between interfaces of films is created after the second printing, and contact area between printing film and substrate is increased. Electrical conductivity and the probability of forming ohmic contact as well as the field enhanced factor increase resulting from the special structure. Furthermore, test of CNTs films with different content concurrently shows that emission current and luminant uniformity of CNTs films are prominently enhanced by two-step printing process.
