思想政治教育载体是沟通思想政治教育主体(思想政治教育者和受教育者),实现思想政治教育信息在思想政治教育主体间双向互动的桥梁.思想政治教育载体的运用水平直接决定思想政治教育目标的实现.思想政治教育载体的有效运用,不仅要从微观即具体思想政治教育载体的运用上着手,更重要的还是要从宏观上,即从思想政治教育教育者、思想政治教育信息(内容)、思想政治教育环境以及思想政治教育载体的综合运用等方面进行理路性的研究.
