Abstract:
Transient dc bias current exists in the power transmission of dual-active-bridge (DAB) converters under the traditional control. The effects arising from the transient dc bias current include the increased power losses of DAB converters and the possible transformer saturation. Moreover, high overshoot current might even damage the DAB converter. This paper aims to eliminate the transient dc bias current of DAB converter under the triple-phase-shift (TPS) control. An optimal control scheme under TPS control is proposed and validated by both simulation and experiments. © 2019 IEEE.
