Abstract:
In this paper, an accurate triangular spectral element method for prediction of aerodynamic noise is established. Combining with characteristic-based split method, Navier-Stokes equations are solved to obtain the acoustic source of pseudo acoustic pressure. Then acoustic propagation problem is solved based on wave equation. The spectral convergence feature of spectral element method meets the requirement of high accuracy in aeroacoustic problems, while the introduction of CBS method guarantees the numerical stability in high Reynolds number problems. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated by two benchmark problems. The proposed method is applied to calculation of plane cascade aerodynamic noise. Changing law of noises under different angles of attack is investigated. The research content provides a new solution for further investigation in aerodynamic noises of various type of fluid mechinary. © 2021, Science Press. All right reserved.
