Abstract:
This paper reviews new developments in autoreclosure technology. The background of these developments is firstly outlined and the basic principles of these new techniques are described. These include the adaptive reclosure, the optimal reclosure and the adaptive trip and reclosure techniques. It is shown that these new developments offer potential for significantly improving the performance of the power system protection and control.
