Abstract:
Because of the mounting errors of position sensors or the influence of static loads, a eccentricity exits between the journal and the bearing center, namely the static working point of the bearing will excursion. So the effects of the static working point on the dynamic characteristics of bearing are discussed first. After further considering the restrict of magnetic force saturation, the synthetical dynamic stiffness of permanent magnet biased magnetic bearing (PMEB) is defined for the first time. At last, the steady region of the PMEB is presented by analyzing the effects of the static working point and the bias magnetic field on the bearing stability, which provides the theoretics basis for the design and analysis of PMHB.
