Abstract:
Nanoporous Ag ribbons were prepared by electrochemical dealloying of the melt-spun Cu80-XAg20SiX(X = 5, 10, 15, in mol%) alloys in 0.5M CuSO4aqueous solution at room temperature. The Cu and Si elements in the precursor alloys could be removed almost during dealloying. The pores and ligaments of the dealloyed Cu-Ag-Si alloys distributed throughout the cross section of the ribbons. The nanoporous Ag were refined evidently with the addition of Si in the precursor alloys. The pores of the nanoporous Ag prepared from the Cu70Ag20Si10alloy were refined to ∼40 nm and the ligaments with an average size of ∼100 nm showed granular shape. The nanoporous Ag exhibited strong enhancement of the surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) due to the refinement of microstructures.
