Along with the development of the sensor technology, by Micro-Electromechanical Systems (MEMS) as the main body, materials science, computer science, biology, electronics, automatic control and such as science and technology are intertwined to form a separate subject areas. In the research direction of the sensor technology, pressure sensor technology is an important part and play a very important role in the sensor technology. The research of flexible sensor array in this paper is based on pressure sensor, and expect been widely used as robot tactile sensor. Tactile sensor is an important method of intelligent robot to perceive information of the oueside world.This paper introduces the development present situation of sensor at home and abroad, focusing on the development present situation of flexible array sensing technology. It analyses principle and materials of the current major flexible sensor array technology. Proposed and designed a new type of flexible sensor array based on conductive rubber by the development of the current flexible sensor array research fields. The sensor has advantages of feeling large area of the forces, high sensitivity and good overall surface flexibility. It can adjust sensitive unit number and unit seperation distance according to the actual needs, flexibility to change the resolution. It mainly can feel outside pressure, shows the size and location of the outside pressure, exerting the appearance of the object contour.This paper firstly selects sensitive materials for the flexible sensor array. Conductive rubber have advantages of resistance change with pressure karge range, low cost and simple production technology, etc. So the conductive rubber filled with the carbon black which is used as sensitive materials of flexible sensor array. According to the requirements and the piezoresistive characteristics of sensitive materials conductive rubber, choose piezoresistive pressure sensor method as sensor principle. Piezoresistive pressure sensor has advantages of simple signal processing circuit, easy array, easy encapsulation etc. The flexible sensor array which based on conductive rubber design and produce 3×3 arrays, and gives the specific methods of producing and processing technology. This sensor array is a four-layered structure. The decorate means of sensitive components lead wire use determinant. The sensor electrode use screen printing method. In order to achieved flexible requirements of the sensor electrode printing conductive silver syrup and conductive carbon syrup on PET. Measure single sensitive unit to determine the performance of sensor by constructing experimental platform. Measure the actual application, the measurement results conform to our expected goals, finally, display by the graphical. Prove that the study of flexible sensor array based on conductive rubber technology is feasible.
