This　paper　uses　data　envelopment　analysis　(DEA)　to　analyze　the　efficiency　of　the　gold　industry,　based　on　China＇s　gold　listed　companies.　And　it　has　reached　the　conclusion　that　there　exist　significant　differences　in　the　efficiency　of　China＇s　gold　industry;　scale　efficiency　and　productivity　has　a　significant　positive　correlation,　while　pure　technical　efficiency　and　scale　efficiency　shows　a　slight　degree　of　negative　correlation;　most　of　the　gold　business　is　in　a　stage　of　increasing　scale　efficiency,　and　only　a　small　amount　of　enterprises　are　at　or　near　effective　scale;　scale　efficiency　is　the　main　factor　of　the　production　and　operation　efficiency　of　China＇s　gold　industry;　this　thesis　puts　forward　suggestions　and　solutions　based　on　the　conclusion.
