Abstract:
The temperature profiles of thermoacouistic convection in a tube under periodical heating at end were investigated experimentally. The periodical heating system was controlled by a triode and the heating frequency could be adjusted by altering the signal of the signal source. Argon was used as working substance; its temperature in every heating frequency was measured and compared to the value under the condition of continuous heating. The results showed that excess temperature existed at every measuring point because of thermoacoustic waves propagating in the tube, singular temperature distributions appeared at some measuring points. These results verified the existence of excess temperature experimentally, could lay foundations for the further study of the thermal effect of thermoacoustic waves.
