Abstract:
The dry adsorptive desulfurization was adopted according to the working condition of dispersed crude oil storage tanks. Ferric oxide and activated carbon were chosen as adsorbents, and three commercial adsorbents were tested in laboratory. Meanwhile, the on-site desulfurization experiment of crude oil storage tank was also performed. It shows that compared with the adsorption capacity of H2S obtained in laboratory, the capacity of which obtained in the on-site experiment decreases. The reason is that volatile gas composition of crude oil is more complex. Besides adsorbing H2S, the adsorption agent also has adsorption effect on mercaptan, toluene, etc.
