Abstract:
In order to solve the problem of steady-state active power deviation caused by constant damping coefficient control in island microgrid when using virtual synchronous generator strategy to control energy storage converter, a small signal model of energy storage converter based on virtual synchronous generator control is established, and the influence of damping coefficient on active power oscillation in grid-connected mode and island mode is analyzed. Then an improved damping control method based on steady-state frequency difference compensation is proposed. After that, the influence of the improved damping control on the stability and dynamic characteristics of the system is studied. Simulation and experiment prove that the improved damping control can eliminate the influence of the damping on steady-state active power sag characteristics, and effectively suppress the system oscillation without affecting the steady-state active power distribution. © 2020, Power System Technology Press.
