Abstract:
With the development of smart grid technology, flexible resources like renewable energy sources (RESs) and controllable loads (CLs) are widely utilized to improve distribution system resilience. However, the control strategy and aggregation method of distributed RESs and CLs pose several challenges, such as increasing complexity problem of optimization models. Therefore, this paper proposes an optimization scheme for critical load restoration with coordinated control strategy, as well as distributed energy resource management systems (DERMSs) and load aggregators (LAs). Besides, a DERMSs-distributed system operators (DSO)-LAs interaction framework is also formulated. Finally, the proposed optimization method is validated on a modified IEEE-37 node test feeder to verify the effectiveness that aggregated RESs and loads can significantly improve the critical load restoration effectiveness. © 2022 IEEE.
