Abstract:
The Love wave behavior in magneto-electro-elastic multilayered structures was investigated. Firstly, the general mechanical displacement, electric potential and magnetic potential were found by solving the coupled mag-neto-etectro-elastic field equations. The dispersion equation of the Love wave was then derived by the propagation matrix method, combined with the continuity condition across the interface of the layers. Numerical results for sandwich composites made of BaTiO3 and CoFe2O4 were presented and discussed, including dispersion curves for different stacking sequences and for different thicknesses of the middle layer.
