Abstract:
In the full paper, we describe in detail our research on dense two-phase turbulent flow of power law fluid with particles; here we give only a briefing. We derived dense two-phase turbulent flow governing equation of power law fluid with particles. We used our proposed model to simulate two-phase turbulent flow of power law fluid in centrifugal pump impellers. The results show preliminarily that; (1) velocity is continuously decreasing from impeller's inlet to outlet, and pressure increases gradually as radius increases gradually from inlet to outlet; (2) pressure on suction surface is lower than that on pressure surface; pseudo-temperature of particles at suction surface is lower than that at pressure surface; pseudo-temperature of particles near wall is higher than that in interior; (3) both the pseudo-temperature of particles and the turbulent kinetic energy of the two-phase flow of power law fluid with particles are respectively lower than those of the liquid-solid two phase flow.
